Happening Now: Rebalancing The Loss of Someone

If you have lost a child, a sibling, or a partner in your current incarnation, this Equinox might unearth old memories.

Humanity has thrived on loss for a very long time.  It is one of the reasons we chose to incarnate here: for the contrast.  In a dualistic Universe, you won’t know joy unless you know its counterpart, despair.

We have chosen to play out loss in many fashions: death, illness, infidelity.

You can associate any event or interaction you experience with “joy” or with “loss”…depending on your personal world view at the time it happened.

This equinox is providing the momentum for rebalancing those losses.

If negative memories are resurfacing

Remember this: You were a different person when you stored those devastating experiences in the “loss” category.  And the new person that you are in this moment, is able to review those events with new eyes…and new understanding.  You’ll see benefits from the event—such as how much stronger you have become because of it—and you can recategorize this event as a positive experience rather than as a loss.

On a collective level, your rebalancing of these memories helps heal the world.

Your memory recall, and review from the perspective of the Newer You, creates an energetic rebalancing of your signature.  And your signature is what affects everything—and everyone—around you.  You are, in truth, healing the world when you heal yourself. As each signature rises in frequency through rebalancing, so does the collective’s signature as a whole.

Remembering those you lost.

They are never away from you.  They are aspects of you, and they remain with you, to resurface simply through your focus on them.  Those that chose to leave the physical before you wanted them to, did so because it served all involved. Sometimes it takes a few years of linear time to recognize how that loss has benefited you. Places to start:  Expectations, Unconditional Love, Abandonment.

You are never alone.  Ever.  If you are reading this, know that these words were written by someone who is also feeling these experiences along with you.  I’ve lost some big things, too:  Everything I owned from a hurricane.  A beloved partner.  And a child.  We, together, are helping the rest of humanity to rebalance themselves; even if they don’t know what “energy” even is.

With this rebalancing, you are remembering how to use negative emotions to create something positive.  This is alchemy.

Your gift to this world is immense, and from those who don’t have mouths to speak, there is applause for your courage and dedication to your fellow humans.

May love find its way to you in all forms.

Awakening Signs, Featured, Life on Earth,

Grounding (in 99 Words)

What’s the big deal about grounding?

You are a walking antenna. Energy comes into you–from all around you–and it needs somewhere to go.  When there is more than your body can handle, you must release it.  That’s grounding.

Ways to ground:

  • Walk in nature.
  • Touch a plant.
  • Pet an animal.
  • Take a shower.
  • Swim.
  • Eat food that feels good.
  • Use a grounding pad.*

You and the Earth are one.  She is ascending along with you. Distribution of this energy maintains the balance for all of us. When you ground, you also affect the weather! Love to you.

Closure, Two Ways: (Gentle and Sploady)

Now that you’re finally waking up after a bit of a sleep, you will remember how much fun it is to live a multidimensional reality.

It’s your natural state; one of non-resistance, where there are no doubts about your power as a creator.  You intend it, and it shows up in your physical–and non-physical–environments. In-picture/out-picture, as I say.

It took a forced quarantine for many of us to re-evaluate what’s important in our lives; so now is a great time to decide if you are ready to take control of your creational abilities.  If you are, then you will most likely begin what I call “closure.”

Closure entails cleaning all extraneous obligations from your life.

Beyond basic physical organization, closure is more like reconciling your energetic bank account:

  • You’ll unsubscribe from almost everything.
  • Probably abort old stale projects.
  • Cancel unused credit cards.
  • Complete long-overdue address changes.
  • You’ll pay off old debts.
  • Tear-inducing photos of old flames might go.
  • You could feel the need to apologize to everyone that you’ve wronged.

Closure entails rebalancing the energy of any situation to the best of your ability, and then moving on.

Here’s how it can work, if you are proactive:

One day, actually VIEW your email inbox, and consider why so many people are trying to sell you things that you don’t want.  You might wonder how you even got connected with them in the first place.  If so, here’s why:  it was a previous version of You who showed interest in those things.

Those communications are aimed at that old You.  Do you want to continue those conversations, or is it time to let them go?

If it doesn’t give you joy to read it–or worse– if it gives you that sinking feeling, then unsubscribe, cancel, or decline….right then and there.

Old blogs, old unused software subscriptions, auto-ships of vitamins that you’re already backed up on for 6-months.  Keeping things around without excitement can hold you back from being the You that you are aiming to be.

Now here’s how it can work if you are a procrastinator:

Something is guaranteed to blow up in your face…and now damage control is necessary.

In panic mode, you’ll do whatever you can to get yourself rebalanced; which usually entails cleaning up the fallout from what you were avoiding in the first place.  Address it before it explodes!

Both avenues will get you to closure; but I’m sure that you can see which path is less arduous than the other.

If there’s one piece of advice that I can give you from this point in “time” about the process, it’s that it’s easier to just get it done and out of the way.  You can manage an  “unsubscribe” click in the blink of an eye. Once you start the ball rolling, the Universe will help you along…and the resultant peace of mind will further inspire you to re-evaluate what brings you joy.

Remove from your life everything that doesn’t excite the most current version of YOU.

You can do this with loud music if you like, or tears if they serve you (for me, it was both.)  This clearance of unnecessary obligations will propel you towards excellence; and after excellence comes freedom… and along with freedom comes fun.

Added bonus:

Not only will you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally lighter,  but chances are that your physical bank account will start to show signs of unexpected abundance.  You might not have even been aware of how much money was leaving your field, until you see fewer debits occur in your bank account.  This is a great step to showing your appreciation for the money that comes to you.  Abundance comes under many guises, including money that’s “found.”

Here’s another area for closure that you might not expect:

Get comfortable looking at yourself naked in the mirror.

This is probably one of the most avoided obligations in human existence. Why is it an obligation?

Your body is the physical representation of your beliefs about yourself.

If you are currently unable to love yourself naked in the mirror, then there are some self-worth items needing closure as well.  Start with your eyes, as those “windows to the soul” may be the most difficult part to accept about yourself….and move down from there.  You got this.

With further “noise reduction,” you’ll have the energy and time to focus on honing your multidimensional skills.  It’s a great honor to be present in a physical vehicle, on this multidimensional planet that you’re helping to co-create.  Closing out old obligations allows you to go “all in,” and that serves everyone energetically.

Closures give you breathing room; so much so that you will be very conscious about making future commitments.  Put them to the same test:  does it excite the most current version of You?  If not, then say no.  It is your right.

Conscious creation is much more fun when you have time to relax, get quiet, and allow in higher-frequency energies to intermingle with yours.  Now go get naked and say hello to yourself.

Love to you.

Browser Tabs: Energetic Land Mines

Once upon a time, there was only one browser. And in that browser, only one window.

When you were finished looking at the stuff in that one window, you would click on a link to fill it with new information, and then you’d look at that.

Oh but now! An idea! Let’s research it. And while you’re reading, oh! Another idea! But you’re not finished with the first idea, so you open a new tab, and start your research over there. More ideas build up, and suddenly you find yourself with a dozen open tabs, and you can’t remember what you were researching in the first place.

During your awakening process, it’s normal to be hungry for all the knowledge you can ingest. And new technology that encourages multiple simultaneous ideas makes it especially easy for the ravenous researcher to collect information at lightning speed.

But those tabs can mess with your frequency.

Think of an inflated balloon with a stone inside of it. If you shake that balloon, the stone will bounce from one side to the other, hitting at different points across the inside of the sphere. This is similar to how an awakened mind thinks; it’s holographic rather than linear.

This is great! Unless you can’t let go of thoughts. And then, things get crowded in there.

Your online inquisitions memorialize these disjointed thoughts, each on its own tab. And if you’re like me, you don’t finish your business on the sites; so you leave them open, telling yourself you’ll go back and finish up later. If there are so many that the icons disappear, then I’m talking to you!

So what happens to your frequency when you revisit your browser and you see all of those things waiting for you?

Scanning those colorful desktop icons is like tiptoeing across a row of energetic land mines.

Each tab sits waiting…ready to explode volumes of information…all over you.

Some of it is probably uplifting. And some of it, probably not. Memories, regrets, reminders, bad news…they sit ready for you. Over and over, as you repeatedly scan that list of icons, your frequency can fluctuate wildly, based on your ideas about the content represented there.

“Oh this one, I need to do that. Oh and that one, I forgot to check out my cart. And these? I’ll get to it soon, I promise.”

This is you, unconsciously scattering your thoughts through technology.

Every time you re-introduce the energy of your browser’s contents back into your awareness, expect a new version of YOU from the absorption of it. If you are aware of something, then it is changing you. How?

You automatically process this information on a minimum of 3 levels:

Physical: You click on a tab.
Mental: You read the words and view the images.
Emotional: You store a feeling about the information you just read.

The emotional level is where the energy does its thing, and chances are you aren’t even aware that you’re registering a feeling about the contents. Yet that stuff sticks in there, if it remains unobserved.

As you awaken still further, you’ll process all of the levels consciously.

Let’s jump up one more level to hone your badass skills:

Creational: You observe what you just did. You ask why you did it. And you decide how it served you.

You can ask yourself two quick questions to process at the Creational level:
“What is the lesson here?”
“What is this information reflecting back about me?“

Remember that while you’re in the physical, everything that you see is a reflection of you in some way. You have put it there. It’s a beautiful orchestration of learning possibilities, often wrapped up in mysterious packets of information and stashed in your environment.

Real growth occurs when you determine the reason something showed up, AND you are aware of your response to it.

This fourth level of processing takes focus, but it is the whole purpose for coming to Earth: To learn, to experience, and to expand.

You will want to be efficient with your energy; this includes reducing the amount of noise going through your conscious mind. With less to process, it’s easier to maintain your frequency.

So take a look at your tabs and consider closing as many as you can.

I’m not advocating the more linear “one window at a time” theory—although it is very Zen and you may get there by choice—but rather, for the purposeful retention of energy that uplifts you.

Try consciously processing your tabs on all four levels. And don’t forget to thank yourself for taking care of your own vibration as you’re clicking on each little “X.”

Love to you.

The Shift: The Energy of Clothes

Energy comes in many forms.  Light.  Sound.  People.  Dresses.

During the natural awakening process, there will be dips and spikes in your frequency.  You’re clearing old blocked energy, as well as learning to be the transducer of the higher-frequencies offered to you.  You’ll do some rebalancing, for sure.  Some days are full of blissful peace, where it’s easy to send love to every living thing you see…and other days, it seems like you’ve developed a forked tongue poised to spit out venom at the first threat.

It doesn’t really matter what triggers these dips; for the event is just the initial spark to get you to feel something.

When you’re in a downward dip, you’ll be called upon to use your tools to rebalance your frequency.

To do this, you’ll perform whatever processes that work for you (meditation, exercise, mantras, burning candles, whatever).  These are all great ways to help change your aim back into higher perception.

The other day I was in such a dip, where nothing, nothing, nothing! was going right from my point of view.  I was wallowing in self-pity for sure, and to add to that, I had to do a load of laundry.  In my apartment building, there are 22 people using one washer and dryer, and so there could be some competition for use of the machines.

Yet in my years here, I’ve never experienced said competition when I take my load of laundry downstairs to wash.  But there COULD be!  And so, my irrational laundry fears dipped me even lower than I already was.

After showering, I threw on the first thing I found in the closet.  After all, I’m only going to fight someone for a washing machine, so who cares, right?  I threw on a denim shift (aka a sleeveless dress with zero curves) that lay front and center in my closet; but is rarely worn.  It’s got no waistline, and I look like a fish wife in it.  “I’m just doing laundry,” I told myself, and so I threw it over my head and headed downstairs with my laundry basket.

As usual, there was no one else in the laundry room, and I put my clothes in for the load.  Relief! I’m only doing one load, so I’m in the clear.

Yet I didn’t feel any better when I got back upstairs.  “You’re clearing,” I said to myself.  And when I looked in the mirror, there was a sallow me, in an ugly denim shift, reflecting back the image of a woman in clearing.  Healing, yet again.  Still in the dumps, AND in an unflattering dress. I tried all of my most potent tools to raise myself back up to “normal,” but still I remained in the emotional cellar.

Baby goat pictures…failed.  The kitten cam.  Nope.  But the suffragette in the denim shift was not giving up.  “I’ll tough this out.”

As I folded the warm towels, my mind wandered a bit towards appreciation of the fact that I have a washing machine at all.

“Lose the dress!”

Wha?

The voice of my female Bengali guide in my right ear.  She is the only one that gets through when I’m in a thick fog of pity, by literally shouting in my ear.  And even then, she had to wait until I focused on something even slightly better than the sallow fishwife persona I’d been embodying all day.

Could a dress actually contribute to a frequency dip?

Of course.   The dress is a choice I made, although I’m not sure why, and everything’s made of energy.  It’s in my field, and energy exchange occurs with everything in your field.

Things you see, things you eat, things you wear.

Now this dress could make the next person who puts it on feel like a queen.  That’s the beauty of energy.  Different signatures, different results from the combination.  For me? Over the head that thing went, replaced with an outfit that I felt great wearing.  And my frequency shot right back up, because I liked what I saw in the mirror. More representative of the true Me.

So if there is something that you don’t prefer, then send it along, whether that be a person, a dress, or anything else in your life.  You always have the choice to surround yourself with things that uplift you.

The dress is in the laundry now, ready to be washed next time I go downstairs to not fight for the washing machine.  And after that?  Into the donation pile to find its queen.

Love to you.

Internal Shoot-Out: Unsticking Your Timeline

Feeling stuck on a timeline you don’t want to be on?  Find out why.

This is the first of a series of Shoot-Outs—the rapid firing of questions to the Self–to facilitate recognition of unconscious limiting behavioral patterns which may be keeping you on an undesired timeline.

One day this weekend, sit with your morning beverage and write down some things you habitually do.

Here are some examples:

  • Writing in a journal
  • Exercise
  • Checking social media
  • Watching television
  • Organizing things
  • Shopping

For each element in your routine, fire off the following questions in your head.  Write down the answers! It frees up mind space:

  • Who are you doing it for?
  • Is it bringing you closer to what you want, away from what you want, or nowhere?
  • What do you expect to get from it?
  • What would happen if you didn’t do it?
  • Do you really want to be doing this, or do you feel like you’re supposed to?

And the grand finale:

  • What’s running in the background while you’re doing it?  Is it excitement? Boredom? Desperation?

Sit. Feel. Observe.

This pause after asking these questions will bring you to the WHY of what you’re doing.

When you get to the WHY, you are at a conscious Point of Choice.

Do you want to keep doing this thing, or do something else? Remember that what served you before, when you were a different person, may not work for you now.  After all, you no longer need to hold your mother’s hand anymore when you cross the street, do you? Some activities don’t reflect the new You that you have become.

Remember, you are a new person every moment, with every choice you make.

By recognizing what you’ve actually been choosing for yourself, and WHY, you can evaluate whether or not these repetitive actions are bringing you closer to what you want, or further away.

You may find yourself getting rid of routines that make no sense.

This will never feel like sacrifice.  Rather, it will be more of a release…and hopefully with an acknowledgment of thanks for the experience, as fun (or not fun) as it was.

You are a sovereign being, and you get to choose what you think about…and how you interact with anyone or anything.  Your choices form into the physical reality that you see and experience around you.  Why not make all of them conscious ones? You have always had that power.

May your soul’s every wish be fulfilled.  Love to you.

Are You Man Enough? Why?

It’s clear that something has gone terribly wrong with men striving to be Man Enough.

We see evidence of this everywhere, and it begs the question: What can men do about it?
This article offers men a blueprint for cleansing themselves from the pressures of toxic masculinity and forging a path to self-actualization.

Choose Your Social Circle

One noteworthy step in my spiritual progression occurred when I decided to clean out my social closet. This was prompted by one simple piece of advice that came from a fellow man I met online. To paraphrase his main point:
“When you don’t want to take part in a social norm, the greatest and only power you have is to walk away. And if you’re afraid of being alone, you don’t even have that.”
When he said this, I suddenly realized how much power could be gained from overcoming my fear of being cut off or isolated from others.
From that moment on, I raised the bar for the kind of people I wanted to surround myself with, favoring inspiring books over fake friends. You can do the same.

Stop Being a Hero

As men, we desire a sense of certainty about how we understand the world and choose to navigate through it. The cliché of men not wanting to ask for directions comes from our instinct to lead others.
Programmed to view the role of “follower” as emasculating, we all grab frantically at the helm of humanity, failing to synchronize with each other or our female counterparts.
We do this because making a change and taking directions from others means admitting that we don’t have all the answers and need others to help us find our way. It also means forgiving ourselves for being imperfect.
If we truly want to be of service, we need to start by giving ourselves some slack and listening to others.

Takeaways

If you want to make a lasting change, it’s important that you don’t just leave this article without setting an intention. Start your transformation by putting pen to paper, writing down your own takeaways from the following points:

If you feel like people in your social circle are negative and putting pressure on you to conform, start letting them go. Letting go of them is how you will begin to let go of who you think you are.

Recognize that it’s perfectly acceptable not to know who you are or who you want to be. Not knowing is a state of emptiness that empowers you with the receptive capacity to discover and choose who you want to be.

Find your heroes and follow them. These are people you aspire to emulate and connect with. It doesn’t matter if you connect directly with them. What matters is that you listen to them. By doing this, you’re forging a relationship with those heroes and using their example as a model to live by.

Awakening Rants, Featured, Life on Earth,

I’m Done With That! So Why is It Still Showing Up?

You change realities every time you make a new choice.

Little choices, and big choices.  All choices.

With each decision you make, you transform into a completely new person; and you move to another version of Earth that supports the revised “You.”  Maybe you faced a fear, or got rid of an annoying habit. Maybe you withheld judgment when you normally would have cast dagger eyes at another’s behavior.

Despite your being on a new version of Earth, it might not look all that different to you, at first glance. With your new attitude and all, you’ll expect more of the things you desire to start showing up in your physical world…and quickly.  You have made a big change!

But instead, you could see the same old things you’ve been seeing, and it’s easy to conclude that the Law of Attraction only works some of the time.  Or for everyone except for you.  Or…never…if you sink down to the emotional basement and wallow.

So why do indications of the old “You” still show up even though you’ve made changes?

Let’s take an imaginary walk through a forest, along a nice flat path.  You are enjoying the nature around you, maybe touching a tree here and there, surrounded by chirping birds.  You’re in appreciation and it’s a good place.

Walk a little further, and you see something up ahead.  It’s dull and metal, an eyesore.  As you walk closer, you see it’s an empty soda can, thrown in the foliage alongside your serene path.

Maybe your tranquility comes to a halt, and your mind turns to thoughts that are not so positive.  “Who would do that?” “Why would someone be so careless as to leave this here?” “Humans are hopeless.”

I’ve been there, and I know how good vibes can come to a halt when faced with something we find incomprehensible.

Yet nothing in your purview is random. Even evidence of behavior you don’t exhibit.

You may not be a person that throws cans on the ground. Yet I’m guessing that sometime, somewhere, you threw something on the ground and didn’t care to pick it up.  If you can honestly say you have never done this (put a “Saint” in front of your name), then I can guarantee that you know someone who has.  It has been a part of your reality at some point in time.

The appearance of an object like this, which I call fallout, is a glimpse of another’s reality.  Since we’re all connected and sharing a collective landscape, we “bump up against each other” every once in a while due to previous associations. It’s leftover evidence of a previous version of “You.”

But why, if we’re no longer choosing that reality?

You’re seeing that can there, to gauge how you’ll respond to seeing it.

So, you have choices:

  • To remember your can-throwing days, and concede that people change if they want to. You did!
  • To judge the can-thrower as an un-evolved troglodyte.
  • To observe your feelings about the event with neutrality.

Neutrality is, of course, the least resistant path.  And how you respond to this event is what determines which reality you will choose next.  A compassionate or neutral choice, and you’ll aim yourself towards a timeline in which you’ll see fewer and fewer indications of such past versions of “You.”

If there’s outrage, then you’ve shown the Universe that you choose to continue taking part in that reality and “more cans will you see,” in Yoda terms.

When a storm ends, it takes a while for the dust to settle.

In the meantime, you’ll see such things so you can confirm that they are not what you prefer anymore.  By continuing to focus on what you do want to experience (tree touching, birds singing), then the fallout will stop appearing as you build momentum towards the more preferred reality.

There are a whole lot of versions of “You” out there.  So when something you’re “finished with” reappears, remember that there are others still partaking in a reality you’ve experienced.  Even though you left that timeline, it still continues on—in both directions—without you.  It’s your choice whether or not you opt to go back and visit.

The Kitchen Spider: Guidance From The Web

When I was a little girl, a gentle being with large eyes told me that I would never be without a spider.

This statement didn’t fit in anywhere until early adulthood, after I’d had a few changes of residence under my belt.  The being was right; everywhere I live, a spider sets up shop in my kitchen. They are usually black widows, which wield the fiercest symbolism among all of the fearsome options in the spider kingdom.

My current kitchen spider has been with me for two years. She lives beneath the floor lamp that lights my artistic workspace, and after all this time, we’ve come to know each other well.

Why do spiders show up?

Bugs have historically been a source of terror for humans. Scapegoats, in my opinion, along with the snakes…they’ve been given a bad rap.  Think about it: When was the last time one lunged out of the corner to attack you?

Yet those who view the world as a dangerous place will be the first to squash them when they appear in spaces that we call “our own.”

Any sense of invasion is a fallacy, of course; for if a spider shows up in your environment, it is just as valid a part of your creation as the lamp it lives beneath. You may love it or hate it, or something in between, but it’s you who put it there.

How does squashing the things that you fear work for you?

Here’s a common response when I discuss my arachnid friend:

“But it’s just a spider.”

Everything you see, hear, feel and experience is a part of you. If you have labeled something as “Just a…. (anything),” then you have concluded that your existence is more valuable than someone else’s.

Expect this to come back to you.

So before you pull out the shoe, observe the spider from another level.

Bend down and look at it.  It’s safe…most of them don’t jump…(wink).

Ask yourself some questions:

Why is it there? What do spiders represent for me? How do I feel about them being in my space?

Such reflections will become standard for you as you awaken, for you’ll want to consciously apply your lessons to multiple levels. You’ll be addressing the creepiness enforced by social conditioning/Hollywood movies (physical level); exploring appropriate symbolism specific to you (emotional level); and taking responsibility for what shows up in your life (creational level).

Here are some common spiritual themes that may invoke a spider in your world:

The value of life in all forms. Does it deserve to live?
The right to live in a specific space. Is it impinging on my territory?
Victimhood. Is it out to kill me?
Powerlessness. What if it bites me while I’m sleeping?

My guides call the spiders “Veterans.”  After all, they lose everything each time the cleaning lady makes a good sweep (which apparently mine doesn’t), and they immediately set up home again when the coast is clear.  A representation of your own inherent qualities, if you choose to activate them.

Establishing a relationship with your kitchen spider

Consider how our indigenous cultures live in unison with the nature around them. Earth offers many examples of such symbiotic relationships.  If they can do it, then we all can do it.

…and realize that you may come to like the little bugger. What once was an irrational fear turns to curiosity, and then to fondness, and then to its own kind of love.

Even if spiders still scare you, adopting a “you don’t bother me, and I won’t bother you” attitude will yield some very positive results.  See what happens when you do this.  If you have children, introduce them to the spider, and discuss it with a sense of wonder rather than fear. The animal kingdom is quite receptive to a welcome environment, and respect is returned in kind.  If fear for your child’s safety overpowers everything else, then move the spider to a jar for rehoming outside.  This demonstrates respect for the well-being of everyone involved, while illuminating your current belief systems along the way.  Incidentally, my grown son has a kitchen spider of his own.

Your attention to repairing relationships with “Others That Scare You” sends out a powerful message to the Universe.  It shows your dedication to transformation for a more unified co-existence.  This intention calls immense power to you, for use in spinning your own Web of Creation…one based in integrity and respect for those who share your world.

All this…from “just a spider.”
