Why Does Time Fly? Because You’re Timeless.
The Ticking Clock Thing
Ever wondered why time goes so fast when you’re having fun? Or why does time fly when you’re fully immersed in something joyful? One minute it’s noon, the next—it’s tomorrow. We chalk it up to “time flying,” but what’s really happening is far more expansive than that. You’re not losing time. You’re remembering that time, as we know it, isn’t real at all.
Time Is a Construct (That You Agreed To)
Linear time is one of Earth’s most convincing props. We agreed to experience time as a sequence—past, present, and future—so that we could stretch out our lessons, savor our joys, and observe our manifestations unfold piece by piece. But time only appears to “pass” when we believe we are separate from the moment. When you’re in alignment—doing what lights you up—you’re actually syncing with your natural, non-linear self. And that self? It lives outside of time.
Alignment Speeds Things Up
When you’re aligned with your Higher Self, time becomes irrelevant. That’s why those “timeless” experiences feel so rich, so alive, and so fast. You’re no longer tracking time, because you’re not dependent on it. Your presence overrides your perception of it.
In contrast, think of a moment you were stuck, waiting for something, dreading the next step. That version of you is resisting the flow—and time slows to a crawl. It’s not the minutes that are different, it’s your relationship to time that’s changed.
You’re Just Remembering
So the next time you say “Wow, time flies,” smile. That’s you remembering what you are: an eternal, multidimensional being, dipping your toes into a 3D experience that includes clocks… until you decide it doesn’t.
