Everything in our Universe is made of energy. People, things, and actions. The nature of this energy is to flow; it’s easy to focus on the people and things flowing into and out of our lives…but have you given any thought to the actions?
If you have ever moved from one city to another, you know that there are a lot of actions involved in the process. Packing this item, cancelling this subscription, donating that appliance. And in your new city, there’s unpacking this book, filing this contract, and subscribing to that gym.
Those actions are all comprised of energy. It takes energy to unpack something, to find a place to put it, and to change your mind as you recreate your new sanctuary. Not only are you burning physical calories, but energetic calories are being expended too. This is a great thing…it’s change…and it aligns you with the natural flow of energy in the Universe.
And when it comes to unpacking a multitude of boxes after a move, it’s easy to leave the task incomplete by throwing a few of those unpacked boxes somewhere in a closet to deal with later.
But that energy that’s jonesing to flow is now plugged up; both for the contents inside the box, as well as the action of placing them in your new environment. Stuck in the box, they are denied the flow that defines energy particles.
And that blocked energy is now attached to you.
What happens when you don’t perform an action begging to be made?
The same thing that happens when you shake a soda bottle. Pressure builds. And after the pressure is built, if you try to open the top slowly, you are immediately sprayed with soda. Yet if you open the top quickly, you stay dry and you get to enjoy more of the beverage.
What will this “pressure” feel like in daily life? You’ll walk past that closet, and your stomach will sink. “I really need to go through those boxes,” you’ll think, further bombarded with related derisive thoughts about having no time, not wanting to deal with it, or recalling a physical ailment that precludes you from carrying boxes at this time.
The ego is tricky. It doesn’t love change, so it does what it can to keep you right where you are.
Our Universe lovingly smirks at the human ego, and continues to exist in its most authentic nature. So flow is going to happen, and any attempts to stop it up will fail.
So if you ignore those boxes for too long, then you’ll get a little wake up call. Perhaps there was an unpaid bill stuffed in between a pile of papers…you receive the call from the collections department (!) and now you’re forced to unplug that energy in quite a nasty way.
Or leaking batteries that ruin your family photos. Or a melted candle on your birth certificate. I could go on.
Your attempts to stop the flow of energy will result in a reciprocal, harder pushback from the Universe.
This is also called procrastination, by the way. And it’s one of the best lessons about “flow.”
The Law of Attraction is in full force on this concept. What you send out, you get back.
So consider what you might get back from scorned boxes stuffed in a closet?
Or a delayed dental cleaning?
Or a government paper you keep forgetting to file?
Or a skipped workout?
How do you tell if you are procrastinating about something, or just letting the Universe take care of things?
You gotta ask yourself.
It’s not about consulting the clock to see if you have time (external!). It’s about opening the closet, staring at the boxes, and feeling how you feel when you encounter their energy. That sinking feeling in your gut is an indication that there is stopped up energy there. It’s your signal that if you don’t attend to it soon, things are going to get bigger.
Also, look for little clues that pop into your life. Once, I kept receiving coyote calls on my mobile phone, and two different of my work numbers…recorded calls advising that I could get a “better credit card” if I pressed #2.
“I have good interest rates, no thank you,” I said to the robot on the phone.
Fast forward a DAY later, and a little itch in the back of my mind had me wondering if I really did have good interest rates. Lo and behold, one of my providers had jacked up the interest rate after some promo period ended, on schedule, but forgotten by me, and I would have been stuck paying 25% more had I not logged in to check, and pay off, the balance.
Those calls you get, the repetition of images, numbers, or words….they are all signs being sent to you (by you) to indicate there’s some information there to help you take action. This is how the Universe helps you take care of things. Its aim is to re-initiate the flow before the pressure has built up too far and blows up in your face.
So tie up those loose ends, my loves, if your gut informs you it’s necessary. And remember to send that energy back out imprinted with your quirky, unique signature. That’s how you help change the world.
